THE ROLE:
Our clients are looking for Lead Service Designers to join their team.
ABOUT YOU & THE ROLE
As a Lead Service Designer, you will take a central role in shaping the future of the NHS App, working closely with public sector stakeholders. Sitting at the head of a multidisciplinary design team, you will define the design strategy and vision for this highly visible public service. Your focus will be on establishing robust design standards, managing roadmaps, and ensuring that human-centred design principles are applied throughout the product lifecycle.
Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary design teams
Strong background in mentoring and coaching designers
Deep knowledge of human-centred design principles and methodologies
Extensive experience conducting user research, user interviews, and workshops
Practical experience in planning and executing usability testing
Demonstrated ability to establish design standards and best practices
SOME THINGS YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
Define the design strategy and vision for the NHS App
Manage design roadmaps to ensure timely delivery of service improvements
Oversee design governance and maintain strict quality assurance
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of designers
Establish and promote design standards and best practices across the project
Plan and facilitate user research, interviews, and collaborative workshops
Conduct usability testing to iterate and improve the service design
