THE ROLE:
Our clients are looking for Senior Automation Engineers to join their team.

ABOUT YOU & THE ROLE
As a Senior Automation Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software deliveries. Sitting within an Agile delivery team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust automation frameworks from scratch using Java and Selenium. You will apply your extensive knowledge of automation testing to both UI and API layers, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and driving best practices across the testing lifecycle.

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Selenium WebDriver

  • Proven ability to build and maintain automation frameworks from scratch

  • Experience with REST Assured for API automation and Cucumber BDD or Serenity BDD frameworks

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or Concourse

  • Solid understanding of SQL and database backend testing

  • Nice to have: Exposure to AWS cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes

  • Nice to have: Previous experience working on Public Sector or Central Government programmes

SOME THINGS YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

  • Build, maintain, and scale automation testing frameworks from scratch

  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing across various applications

  • Automate API testing using REST Assured

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery

  • Manage defects and track testing progress using Jira

  • Participate actively in Agile sprint ceremonies and champion Agile testing principles

  • Conduct backend database testing using SQL to ensure data integrity
